What to Expect
Expect the first visit to range from 60-90 minutes, and subsequent visits to be about 60 minutes each. The appointment will include an Evaluation and treatment, as well as a comprehensive home program.
The evaluation includes a history of your current condition/complaint. I will take baseline information including ROM, strength, gait, balance, pain, etc. For personal training I will also gather information about your body weight/composition, training zones, heart rate, blood pressure, resting metabolic rate, and physical performance tasks (push ups, sit ups, pull ups, dips, squats, 1/4 mile time, etc).
We will discuss and implement a plan of care to help you accomplish your goals. I will provide you with a home program, and we will establish appropriate times for return visits. etc.
Furthermore, I believe knowledge is power, and so I will make great efforts to teach you as much as possible in the time we have, so you are enabled to act for yourself.
